This isn’t some story of an individual who went through personal tragedy and struggle to overcome hardship and made a name for himself as a brilliant entrepreneur.

No, David was your average, well behaved Canadian citizen who lived a very normal life. David was born from two immigrant parents from Seoul, South Korea who worked incredibly hard to start a new life in Canada and support their family of 4, took no days off, and always gave 110% to their children.

At the young age of 55, David’s mother was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, and was able to live 5 more years with her family before sadly passing. The cancer took the family by surprise; there were no significant warning signs or health changes until it was too late. Although sad, there are stories out there even more tragic.

Life often passes by quicker than what we would like. One moment you feel life is creeping by, the other, a blur. Everyone is occupied with their own life, so much so that we forget to take a breath and check our own health.

The health care system is strained. Doctors are overburdened with the growing population outpacing the amount of new doctors that enter the industry.

More and more people do not have a family doctor. For the people with family doctors, they no longer have the time to follow up with every patient to let them know of any screenings & vaccinations upcoming for people. Combine that with how little the majority of the population do not even know when they should begin to start screening for specific cancers!

David started CalenDR to help and aware people. Since cancer currently has no cure, the best method is early detection. CalenDR was created as a reminder tool to let people know not to forget about their health and to get checked. CalenDR is the tool David wished he had for his mother. His hope, is that it can be a tool to help people all over the world take control of their health.
